Picture a world of just similar faces
An earth devoid of different races
Think of a place where you're met with just scorn
Only because of the skin in which you were born.

Imagine a people wiped clean off the earth
Because others thought they were lacking in worth

You were despised and killed just for being some way.

If you were the one being killed without cause
Would you just turn your back and hear their applause?
The pains in this world will continue, I fear

Because of the mass executions of non-combatant Muslim men that was part of Serb strategy, the Bosnian Genocide is considered both a genocide and a gendercide.

"Wherever they [the Serbs] captured people, they either detained or killed all the males from 18 to 55 [years old]. It has never happened that the men of that age arrived across the front-line."- Bosnian Prime Minister Hasan Muratovic

Basic facts:
The Bosnian genocide had over 102 000 deaths in the 5 years that it lasted.

Of the civilians, there was a total of 55 261 victims.
-about 16 700 were Serbians
-about 38 000 were Bosniaks and Croatians.

Of the soldiers, there were 47 360 victims.
-about 14 000 were Serbians
-about 6 000 were Croatian
-about 28 000 were Bosniaks.

The main steps taken by the Serbians were:
1. They would surround the area that was to be cleansed after warning the resident Serbs. They usually told them to leave or at least mark their houses with white flags. They would then scare the target population with artillery fire and random executions and bring them out of their homes and into the streets.

2. Then, they would execute the political leaders and anyone that was capable enough to take their places: lawyers, judges, public officials, writers and professors.

3. After, they divided the women, children, and elderly from all men of "fighting age". That was considered to be any from eighteen to fifty-five years old.

4. They then transported the women, children, and elderly to the border and deported them into a neighboring territory or country.

5. Lastly, they would execute all of the "fighting age" men and get rid of the bodies.

Le genocide en Bosnie a duré 5 ans et plus de 102 000 personnes ont été tuées, la plupart étant des non-soldats.
Les serbes avaient un système de massacre:
-Ils entouraient la zone quìls allaient ``nettoyer`` et avertissaient les serbes en résidence. Ces serbes mettaient des drapeau sur leur maisons pour que les soldats ne les attaquaient pas.
-Les soldats tireaient sur la population et tuaient au hasard, en ammenant la reste de la population dans les rues.
-Ils tuaient n`importe qui dans la politique, et ceux qui étaient capables de reprendre le pouvoir.
-Ils divisaient la population; femmes, enfants et vieux d`un bord, et ceux qui avaient l`âge de combattre de l`autre.
-Tous les femmes, enfants et vieux étaient transportés jusqu`à la frontière, puis déportés.
-Les hommes sont tués.
